Business rate reform sees tax cut for Bracknell Forest businesses
780 retail, hospitality and leisure (RHL) businesses in Bracknell Forest will benefit from lower business rates thanks to reforms passed in Labour’s 2026 budget.
Under the plans, a new rate calculation will set lower fees for to small and medium RHL businesses. The measure will see RHL businesses across the UK save around £900m per year.
This move comes as the government targets large multinational retailers and online stores like Temu with higher charges for warehouses and import duties on cheap products, to protect local high street stores.
