Warfield Councillors
Elizabeth Skelton, Parish Councillor for Whitegrove I have lived in Bracknell with my four children since 1996. I am so fond of Bracknell and glad they developed the centre thoughtfully. I love Lily Hill Park and think the rural aspect of Warfield is to be cherished. Being recently widowed I was coopted onto Warfield Parish Council looking to contribute to the local community after a hectic 40 years as an English teacher, Deputy Head and Director of Sixth Form studies at a large Reading comprehensive. I love the local churches in Winkfield and Warfield and the community activities. As a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts I hope we can develop the social capital of the new hub to make sure its design and building offer varied opportunities for all Warfield residents. My personal interests are music, including learning the piano, singing in a choir and attending opera, camping with my daughter, podcasts, politics – American and European – nature, the theatre, French conversation and Latin classics with U3a, together with reading and walking locally and abroad. We are very lucky to have a strong community in Warfield with a rich history, environmental centres like Jealotts Hill, lovely local countryside and access to London. It is an honour and privilege to serve Whitegrove.
