Admission Arrangements 2027.28Bracknell Forest Council, as the admission authority for community and voluntary controlled schools in Bracknell Forest, is consulting on the following change to the admission arrangements for the 2027-2028 academic year: It is proposed that the designated area (also known as the catchment area) for Crowthorne CE Primary School be returned to its original state prior to the 2017 expansion. This would involve removing the area of the Bucklers Park development from the school's current designated area.17 January 2026 5pm

Budget Consultation 2026/27Like all local authorities, Bracknell Forest Council must make sure it balances its budget.The council’s budget is split in two - revenue budget and capital budget: * The revenue budget covers day-to-day spending. It is mainly paid for by council tax, government grants and some income from business rates. Schools are funded by a specific government grant. * The capital budget is spending on council ‘assets’ – this includes roads and buildings. It is funded through government grants, money from selling assets, contributions from developers, and some borrowing. Exploring the role of alternative clean heating solutionsHeat pumps, along with heat networks, will be the primary low-carbon technologies for decarbonising home and non-domestic heating. These are existing, technically mature low-carbon technologies, deployable at scale and as such are expected to play a significant role in decarbonising heat in every pathway to net zero. Whilst heat pumps and heat networks will work well for the majority of properties, the government is interested in understanding what alternative technologies are available across different types of domestic and non-domestic buildings to ensure consumers have a choice of suitable low-carbon heating technology options. In exploring these solutions, the government wishes to make clear we do not propose that any household or business installs a low carbon option which is not suitable for their property.   February 10, 2026

Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act DWP Codes of Practice: Verifying Eligibility in the Welfare System, Obtaining Information and Recovering DebtThe Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act 2025 establishes a modernised legislative framework to enable the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to more effectively identify, prevent, and reduce fraud and error within the social security system. Three draft Codes of Practice have been developed, to ensure the safe, effective and proportionate use of DWP’s new powers. To ensure appropriate governance and transparency in the exercise of these new powers, the DWP is committed to undertaking a public consultation on the proposed Codes of Practice developed under the Act.February 27, 2026

Expanding access to naloxone: supply and emergency useNaloxone is a life-saving drug that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose and can help to prevent overdose deaths. Anyone can administer naloxone in an emergency but currently, it can only legally be supplied to an individual for future use by a list of professionals and services named in the Human Medicines Regulations 2012. The Department of Health and Social Care is seeking views in this consultation on proposals to further expand access to naloxone across the UK.March 09, 2026

This consultation sets out further detail on how eVED will work and seeks views its design and implementation.March 18, 2026
